Some units shipped with the tension on the release lever too high. It is adjustable.
If your RemoteControl needs adjusting: Remove the right side cover (passenger side when on vehicle) which will expose the main pivot bolt. Then follow the steps below.

1) Remove the right-side cover using a T30 Torx tool or bit to expose main pivot bolt. Locations are shown below.

2) Set 19mm nut to 16 N m (11.8 lbf) using torque wrench and 19mm (¾”) socket. Most units require only backing off ¼ turn. Check for play in main pivot and tighten if play is observed.
3) Grease locations pictured below using lithium grease if you notice stickiness in the RemoteControl lever action.
This will resolve the issue with the lever, making it easier to operate.
