You can attach a Yakima LockNLoad Platform to your vehicle in two ways: mount it to your existing roof rack or truck rack crossbars, or attach it directly to compatible Yakima SkyLine and TimberLine towers.
Option 1: Attach the LockNLoad to existing crossbars
LockNLoad Crossbar Clamps let you connect the platform to all Yakima crossbars and as many other brands of roof rack or truck rack crossbars. The clamps attach to the platform’s mounting blocks and wrap around the crossbars.
For platform sizes K and B, you’ll need two sets of LockNLoad Crossbar Clamps. For sizes J, E, N, and H, three sets are needed.
Make sure factory crossbars have a minimum weight rating of 165 lbs.
Option 2: Attach the LockNLoad directly to roof rack towers
LockNLoad SL Adapters let you connect the platform straight to Yakima SkyLine and Timberline towers, replacing the crossbars.
For platform sizes K and B, you’ll need two sets of LockNLoad SL Adapters. For sizes J, E, N, and H, three sets are needed.
